Partners in Permanency

Partners in Permanency or "PIP" is a partnership initiative of the Mississippi Department of Human Services and Southern Christian Services for Children and Youth, Inc., Harden House Adoption Program.

The purpose of the PIP Program is to strengthen and support Mississippi foster and adoptive families.

PIP Services Provide:

  • Warm Line
     

    • (800)748-8124 Delta
       

    • (888)893-7318 North
       

    • (800)748-3005 Central
       

    • (877)583-9282 South/Southwest
       

    • (877)236-7881 Gulf Coast
       

    • This phone line provides families with a connection to Support Services. The Warm line is available Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm and after hours for emergencies
       

  • Family Support Groups
     

    • PIP conducts adoptive family support groups who meet on a regular basis for social and educational support services. 
       

  • Lending Library
     

    • PIP has an extensive library with books and tapes on adoption issues. There are three components to the library; resources for adoptive children, adoptive parents and adoption professionals.
       

  • Quarterly Newsletter
     

    • PIP publishes a quarterly newsletter to keep families and professionals updated on local and national adoption/foster care issues.
       

  • Respite Family Network
     

    • Respite providers are experienced and offer adoptive/foster families a safe place for children while the parents take a break.
       

  • Case Management
     

    • PIP offers case management services to strengthen and support families in crisis.
       

  • Adoptive/Foster Parents Training
     

    • Free quarterly training and conference scholarships are offered to adoptive/foster parents on children's issues.
       

  • Information and Referral
     

    • PIP services provide a link to services and referrals for families to meet their needs.       


       
PIP serves families throughout the State of Mississippi with Permanency Services.  Our goal is to strengthen and support Mississippi's Adoptive/Foster Families.
