| | The Harden House Adoption/Foster Care Program is comprised of
several dedicated individuals. Many of the team members work in and around our
communities.
The staff overseeing the Harden House Adoption Programs are highly qualified people dedicated
to the needs of both parents and children.

Tina Johnson
-
Tina is currently
the Adoption Specialist for Harden House Adoption Program in Tupelo, MS.
She graduated from Mississippi State University. She was a Social
Worker with Department of Human Services for seven years then four years
as a stay at home mom, working from home. She returned to work as
a Hospice Social Worker which Tina did for three years until coming to
Harden House Adoption Program in mid 2008. Tina has a wonderful child
named Julia.

- Nikki Flippins, named after the poet Nikki
Giovanni, is the Harden House Adoption Specialist for South Mississippi. She
obtained her Master's Degree in Social Work from the
University of Southern MS. Nikki has many years of
experience in working with children and families. She
has worked in the mental health field as a counselor
and caseworker. She also worked in child protective
services for over a year. Nikki resides in Hattiesburg, MS
where she is a adoptive parent and
currently has 2 children, Nicholas and Nicole, who are the love of
her life.

Nancy
Garmon
- Nancy is a Therapeutic Foster Care Specialist for the Harden House
Therapeutic/Foster Care Program. Nancy has been at Harden House since April 2007.
Nancy has worked with children for the past 3 years. She finds the
work very fulfilling. She is the mother of 4
children, 2 boys and 2 girls. Her oldest daughter and son are
living on their own and she has 2 teenagers still at home with her.
She enjoys gardening, listening to others and sharing with others.
She also enjoys preparing dinners for her loving children and her 2 beautiful
grandchildren.

Debra Russom
- Debra is the Development Associate for The Harden House Programs
located in Fulton and Tupelo, which is a vital part of Southern
Christian Services for Children and Youth. She has worked with neglected and
abused children for approximately 20 years, eight of which have been
with the Harden House Programs. Life experiences, work and
training combined have equipped her for this wonderful opportunity to
help others and she finds it extremely fulfilling and close to her heart.
- She attended a Technical
College in Jackson, MS and she began working for Southern Christian
Services in January 1994 at the Harden House Girls'
Home. She attends New Life Church in Tupelo. She enjoys reading
and sharing her faith. She has one son, Chad, a daughter-in-law and
four beautiful grandchildren.

Pat Sartain
- Pat is the Respite Coordinator/Parent Advocate
for Harden House Adoption/Foster Care Program. She is the adoptive
mother of 4 children. She works with the Adoption Specialist and
the Therapeutic Foster Care Specialist and families to set up services
for children that are placed in their homes. She does training on
FASD, Behavior Management, IEPs and IFSPs. She works with Early
Intervention and schools to provide services that the children need.
She enjoys spending time with her family, reading and love working with
other adoptive/foster families.

Lynda Robinson
-
Lynda has been with Southern Christian Services for Children and Youth
for over five years. She has held the position of Director of
Special Projects and Quality Assurance, and now she works with the
Adoption Division where she previously worked as Adoption Support
Coordinator for the Central Mississippi Region and now she is currently
the Adoption Recruiter for Wendy's Wonderful Kids Program. Lynda received a
Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications in 1998 and in 2003, she
received her Master's in Public Policy and Administration both from
Jackson State University.
Lynda is a board member of the Mississippi Conference on Social Welfare
as well as a member of numerous organizations such as: Delta Sigma
Theta Sorority Inc., Jackson (MS) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta
Sorority, Inc., the National Forum for Black Public Administrators, and the
Jackson State University National Alumni Association, and Jackson-Hinds
Alumni Association. In her spare time she works actively in her
church and as a volunteer in the community. Lynda is a member of
College Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Lynda volunteers with Community Service for Senior
Citizens in Jackson, Mississippi.

- Heather Wright is the Harden House Adoption Program Secretary.
She has many years in office experience. She has an Associates of
Arts degree from Itawamba Community College. She is the mother of 3
children; Ryan, Alexandra and Christian. She is married to Jason
Wright and they reside in Fulton, MS. She is currently working on
her Social Work degree. Heather enjoys spending time
with her family, traveling and finishing her degree.

Dorothy Harris
-
Dorothy is the Permanency Specialist Senior for the Partners in
Permanency (PIP) Post Adoption Program. Her office is at the
Central Office in Jackson, MS. She has a Master's Degree in
Guidance and Counseling from Jackson State University, and a Bachelor's
Degree in Psychology and Political Science from Tougaloo College.
She worked with the Mississippi Department of Human Services as a Social
Worker for twenty two years, and has been a licensed Social Worker since
Mississippi instituted the licensing process for Social Workers in
1987. She is a resident of Jackson with more than twenty five
years of experience in the field of Social Work. She is the mother
of one grown son, Bobby and two adopted sons, Terrell Jr., 11 and
Nicholas 10. Dorothy stays busy by volunteering with various
organizations. She enjoys listening to music and watching crime
TV.

- Tency is the Permanency Specialist for North MS. She has been with
Southern Christian Services since February 2007. Tency has been in
the Social Services field for over 5 years. She loves working with
children and adults and finds it fulfilling. She received her
Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Fisk University in Nashville,
Tennessee. She has one son, Michael, who is very close to her
heart. She
enjoys spending time with her family, reading, gardening, drawing,
ballet, jazz, shopping and traveling.

Myia Lane

Myia is the Permanency Specialist for the Gulf Coast
Area of Mississippi. She is a graduate of Jackson State
University, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.
She is currently enrolled in Phoenix University, pursuing her
Master's of Psychology Degree. She is the mother of a handsome young man, Kristopher C. Lane, who is two years of age. She enjoys spending
time with him, as well as interacting with her church family. She
is a young lady that seeks God in every area of her life, and she trusts
in God to mandate her thoughts and decisions that nothing will happen
out of order.

Mary McCain-Cochran
- Mary is the Permanency Specialist for the Delta Area. Mary is a resident of Greenwood, MS.
She has currently been with Harden House Post Adoption Program since
2006. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Social
Work from Mississippi Valley State University. She is in pursuit of her Master's in Guidance and Counseling at
Delta State University. She has worked for Mississippi Valley
State University as a Volunteer
Coordinator, Department of Corrections as a Corrections Case Manager and Catholic Charities as
a House Manager/Social Worker. She has many
different areas of experience.
Mary is happily married to the love of her life, Roger. She has
one son, Demetrius and a beautiful granddaughter, Kendall Amari.
She enjoys lifting up the name of Jesus, spending time with her best
friend "Mom" and helping others.
